3 quick tips to build a thriving connected culture

3 quick tips to make sure you are building a thriving, connected culture in a WFH environment:

Say hi to someone. Just because you aren’t in the office doesn’t mean you can’t drop in on a colleague for a quick hello. A virtual drive-by via email or Slack with someone outside of your team is a great way to stay connected, even if it’s just “Hi, how are you?”

Pick up the phone. You and your teams are in and out of videoconferences and chat apps all day long; switching to a phone call is a nice change of pace and lets you move around as you talk (which, let’s face it, we should all do more).

Create a shout-out channel. Call it what you want: accolades, kudos, high-fives, cheers, acclaim, applause, praise, standing ovations…have a space to recognize the little and big things people do every day and then encourage people to use it.
